Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Stockport.
At around 3pm on Thursday the 23rd of March 2017, a 66-year-old woman was walking on Victoria Grove, off Wellington Road North, Heaton Chapel. She turned around and a man was pointing what is believed to be a gun, directly at her.
The man demanded money from her and when she refused, he walked away towards Stockport.
The offender is described as a white, pale complexion, teenage boy around 16-years old, with a skinny build, and around 5ft 8in tall.
He covered his face but has short, dark hair and was wearing a black t-shirt with black shorts and dark shoes.
Detective Constable Katharine Moriarty of GMP’s Stockport Borough, said: “Although the offender didn’t take anything from the woman, she was left shaken after being threatened with a weapon on her way home. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101.”
