The NHS in Bradford is urging people to donate ahead of a shortfall during the festive period.
The Manor Row centre has said 1,000 more donors are needed to come forward to fill its empty appointment slots between now and New Year’s Eve, as stocks are expected to fall due to winter illnesses and festive commitments keeping donors away.
The Blood and Transplant service said they particularly need O-type donations and donors from the black and Asian community, to treat patients with sickle cell disease.
