Three building projects in Bradford have come out on top in this year’s Local Authority Building Control (LABC) awards.
The awards celebrate the best building projects in the jurisdiction of the five West Yorkshire local authorities, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Calderdale and Kirklees.
The LABC Excellence Awards were launched 13 years ago to reward builders who achieve outstanding quality in their construction work.
At a ceremony held in Wakefield, Bradford was well represented with 12 finalists and three overall winners.
The Sunbridge Wells tunnels project was chosen as the Best Commercial Conversion project, the new Bradford Royal Infirmary extension was the Best Public Service Building, and a detached house in Hawksworth was picked as the best individual new home.
Around 250 guests attended the ceremony which raised £2,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity.
