Events are being held across Bradford to celebrate Armed Forces Day.
A flag raising ceremony took place in Centenary Square yesterday (25 June) and was attended by forces veterans and Bradford members of the Royal British Legion and Royal Engineers Association.
On Saturday 30 June the annual Armed Forces Day Drumhead Service will take place at 11.00am at the Cenotaph (adjacent to Bradford Alhambra). This will be followed by World War One displays, period music and activities in City Park’s temporary gardens until 4.00pm.
And in the Memorial Garden, behind the cenotaph, on Sunday 1 July there will be a special ceremony in honour of the ‘The Bradford Pals’, who fought in the Battle of the Somme.
