On 21 June, Clean Air Day will see schools, hospitals, workplaces and communities across the UK run events to inspire people to act for their own health and the health of their family, friends and neighbours.
In Bradford air pollution is responsible for 5% of all early deaths.
Bradford Council is hoping Clean Air Day will inspire the public to understand what they can do to reduce air pollution and is encouraging people not to leave car engines running whilst picking up children from school, outside shops, hospitals, GP practices or any other activity that requires a quick drop off or pick up.
