Pupils from eight primary schools in Bradford are preparing to take to the stage.
The schoolchildren will be performing plays such as Macbeth and Matilda for the My BD5 Literacy Festival at the Kala Sangam arts centre.
The event, which is in its fourth year, aims to develop literacy skills among youngsters by encouraging them to explore classic and contemporary texts.
