Two separate projects to improve railway stations in Bradford have been delayed.
A £17.3 million project to upgrade Bradford Forster Square Station will not be completed until December 2021 - nine months after the original March 2021 completion date.
The £5.6 million refurbishment of Bradford Interchange is now not likely to be completed until October 2021, 13 months later than the initially proposed September 2020.
According to a report to be presented to members of the West Yorkshire and York Investment Committee, “insufficient expertise” at Bradford Council is behind the Forster Square project delays whilst a “shortage of resource” has halted progress on Bradford Interchange.
