Police are appealing for witnesses after a firearms discharge in the Girlington area of Bradford yesterday.
At 9.49pm, police received a report that a vehicle had been shot at while on Blythe Avenue.
The suspect, who was in a black Seat Leon, drove off from the scene. The vehicle was later recovered by officers.
No one was injured but the damage to the victim’s vehicle was found to be consistent with a firearms discharge.
A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, of Bradford District, said: “We believe this was a targeted attack involving individuals known to each other. Thankfully no one was injured but the consequences could have easily been much worse.
“The use of firearms on our streets is extremely concerning and I would appeal for anyone who has information on this incident to contact police so we can take all of those responsible off our streets.
“Extensive enquiries remain ongoing today and there will be an increased policing presence in the area while investigations are carried out and to provide reassurance to our communities.”
