A 41 year old drug addict who burgled a pensioner’s home and a mosque has been jailed for more than three years.
Bradford Crown Court heard that Imran Ali, who pleaded guilty, was on crutches when he targeted the 75-year-old’s address in Aspley Crescent, Manningham, Bradford, and then four days later targeted the Anjuman Haidera Mosque in St Mary’s Road.
Ali, of Mornington, Crescent, Manningham, who had 80 previous convictions for 37 offences was sentenced to 876 days for the house burglary and 224 days, to run consecutively, for stealing from the mosque.
