The family of Adam Chadwick have taken their campaign for justice to the streets on the 10-year anniversary of his murder.
Adam was 20-years-old when he was shot in the head during a struggle with unknown intruders at the door of his sister’s home in Clifton Mount, Harehills, at about 10.40pm on 24 June 2008.
The offenders were described as three black men wearing masks and camouflage clothing.
Despite police enquiries and repeated appeals for information, those responsible for the murder are yet to be caught.
Adam’s parents, Martin and Jackie, are making an emotional plea for information in a short film that is being broadcast from a mobile display vehicle in and around the scene of the murder in Harehills throughout today (25 June).
To support the appeal, Crimestoppers has a £10,000 reward available to anyone providing information directly to the independent charity that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder.
Jackie said: “The day we lost Adam, our lives were turned upside down. We know we’ll never be the same two people we were when Adam was in our lives.
“We need answers and we need the people responsible to be caught so we can have some quality of life again. We know that will be without Adam but we will have the memories we have made with him for twenty years, and those memories are the most important thing to us.
“I want anyone who does know who was involved to search their conscience and ask, if they have got kids of their own, how would they feel if this was their child?”
