A drug dealer who was caught flushing cannabis down the toilet during a police raid has been jailed for four months.
Leeds Crown Court heard that West Yorkshire Police executed a search warrant at Sarwat Mahamed’s home on Lascelles Road West, Harehills, on March 24 this year.
Officers caught Mahamed flushing items down a bathroom toilet which he admitted had been cannabis.
A small amount of the class B during was found still in the toilet and in the kitchen plus a total of £2,500 in cash was also found in his pockets.
Leeds Crown Court heard that the 33 year old was subject to a suspended prison sentence at the time of the incident for an offence of possessing cannabis with intent to supply imposed in October last year as well as previous convictions for burglary and failing to comply with court orders.
He was jailed for four months.
