
A man has admitted to stabbing a surgeon outside of a mosque in Greater Manchester but has denied trying to kill him.
Dr Nasser Kurdy was stabbed in the neck as he walked to Altrincham Islamic Centre in Hale on 17 September.
Ian Rooke, 29, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and having an offensive weapon in public, but denied attempted murder at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
