A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted abduction of a teenager.
On Tuesday 18 July, police received a report that a man had attempted to abduct a 13-year-old girl on Kennedy Drive in Bury at around 6.30pm.
The girl was walking along the pavement when a man in a car stopped, called her over and demanded she get into the vehicle.
The girl refused and ran away safely from the scene.
Officers launched an investigation and believe the car, a white Nissan Micra, may have remained in the area sometime after the incident.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnapping and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
