A man was hit over the head with a metal tyre iron in a fight on a Glasgow street.
Hashim Uddin, 24, attacked the man in the Shawlands area of the city on 1 September 2016.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard how Uddin and another man began fighting in the street due to an ongoing dispute between the two.
Uddin then took a tyre iron from his car and hit the other man on the back of the head.
His lawyer claims he has lost a place at university for an applied biomedical science course because of the criminal proceedings against him.
He was ordered this week to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work within six months.
