A man who killed a taxi driver in a crash whilst being pursued by police has been jailed.
Daniel Sayers, 27, no fixed address, was doing 70mph in a 20mph zone when he killed Allen Ingram in Denton, Greater Manchester in July.
Manchester Crown Court Minshull Street heard how 64-year-old Mr Ingram was helping an elderly couple into his taxi when the crash took place. He died at the scene.
Sayers, who has 27 previous convictions, fled from the scene. He pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and was jailed for eight years.
