A man has been jailed over racist abuse against a bus driver.
Levi Ibbotson, 39, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court after pleading guilty to racially aggravated harassment.
The court heard how, on 11 January, Ibbotson boarded a Bradford to Wakefield Arriva bus in Morley and became aggressive towards the Polish bus driver.
He said to the woman: “This is my country. Get back to Poland.”
The court was told Ibbotson had been receiving treatment for mental health problems. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison and struggled with dock officers as they led him away.
