
A man was robbed in broad daylight on a Dewsbury town centre street.
Police are now appealing for information after the incident which took place at around 9.00am on Saturday 10 June when the victim, a 65-year-old man, was approached by a man outside The Money Shop on the corner of Foundry Street opposite the market.
The victim then walked towards Northgate with the man walking alongside him who then asked if he wanted to buy two mobile phones.
They continued on walking when the other man threatened the victim and assaulted him. The victim then handed over his wallet from which the other man took £40 before making off towards Daisy Hill.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
A man officers want to speak to in connection with the incident is described as Asian, 5ft 8in tall, of thin build and with dark grey hair which was short in length.
