A man is due to appear in court to be tried for charges relating to burglaries at religious buildings in Manningham.
Providing an update on the situation, police said: "Officers from Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team have been at Halifax custody, interviewing a suspect wanted for burglaries at faith buildings in Manningham, Bradford.
"The Crown Prosecution Service has supported a charge and the suspect is remanded into custody awaiting court in the morning.
"It’s been a long day of enquiries but worth it; to ring the victims and give the great news.
"An excellent example of teamwork, from the initial call at the beginning of September; to our expert Crime Scene Investigators; to our supervisors keeping track of enquiries; colleagues from Halifax pursuing the wanted suspect through the middle of the night; to interview and finally charge.
"The sad fact is that this person would likely have been helped by the very people he stole from, if given the opportunity.
"Our buildings of faith are sacred to many and are the hubs of our community. We are committed to detecting such crimes against them and their congregations."
