British Transport Police have released CCTV images of two men they would liked to speak to after 11 barrels of beer were stolen from Leeds Railway Station.
The two men, accompanied by a third who was driving – were spotted reversing a white Mercedes van with the registration plate of PK56 TEX - which has since been discovered as fake - into Sandford Arch, the delivery entrance to Leeds station.
The men then managed to enter a storage compound and steal eleven barrels of beer valued at over £1000 that were waiting to be delivered to the White Rose pub.
Detective Constable Jason Ridgway from British Transport Police said: “The men then carried the barrels into the waiting van which was being driven by a third man. This was a well planned theft as those responsible had gone to the effort of sourcing false registration plates.
Anyone with information about the incident can call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text the force on 61016 quoting reference ref. PSUB/B2 of 4/2.
