A man who stabbed a passer-by to death on an Oldham street has had his sentenced lengthened after an appeal court judged his previous jail term too lenient.
Mohamed Jama, from Oldham, was originally sentenced to 18 years in October after being found guilty of murdering Mohammed Hassan in March.
The stabbing took place after an argument broke out between Mr Hassan and a group of three men, including Mr Jama.
Mr Jama’s life term was lengthened by four years after the case was referred to London's Court of Appeal by the Attorney General.
