Flower beds in Horton Park are being transformed for local people to enjoy by Bradford Council's Fresh Start 4U project.
Staff and service users at the project, which aims to reduce reoffending, have been creating an Incredible Edible community garden.
This involves planting a variety of food-based plants including herbs and plants with edible flowers and the beds are open for members of the public to pick produce for cooking.
The Fresh Start 4U has been supported by the Parks staff to make the beds a focal point within the grounds.
Frest Start 4U is a Council-funded project which aims to reduce reoffending by bridging the gap to employment for those who have offended in the past.
Alison Bunn, Fresh Start4U Project Manager, said: "The project is involved in several parks across Bradford which helps the offenders develop personal, social and employability skills.
"Unfortunately, plants are being stolen from the flower beds which is very disheartening."
Nabbil Khan, Chairman of the Friends of Horton Park group, said: "The Friends of Horton Park group want Horton Park to be a place that everyone can enjoy and we support the great work that the Fresh Start project does in helping ex-offenders give something back to their communities.
"It is is shame this is being spoiled by a small minority who think it is acceptable to steal plants."
Coun Abdul Jabar, Bradford Council's portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and community safety (pictured), said: "It is really good to see people involved in this project doing something for the community and at the same time really sad that others are crushing their efforts.
"We ask people in the community to be vigilant and report anyone seen stealing plants from the flower beds to the police."
