Police charge a further 21 people following major drugs crackdown operation

A further 21 people have been charged by police investigating the supply of Class A drugs in Bradford District.

The charges follow a series of arrests last week, which saw drugs and cash seized as officers carried out warrants at addresses across Bradford and Kirklees.

These were in addition to the charges of twenty men and two women, who were arrested and charged in October and have since appeared in court.

A total of 43 people have now been charged as a result of this operation.

Some of those charged following the latest arrests have already appeared at court, while the others have been bailed to appear next month.

The operation was once again led by Bradford’s Programme Precision Team, who were supported by officers and staff from across West Yorkshire Police.

Detective Inspector Matthew Walker, said: “These arrests and charges are further proof of our determination to prosecute those involved in the supply of drugs in Bradford District.

“I also hope it serves to reassure the people of Bradford that information police receive about suspected drug dealing is being acted on and developed for further action by my team of officers.”
