Three men carrying an axe and a gun threatened staff during an attempted robbery at a Baildon shop.
The men wearing face coverings threatened staff at the Co-op, in The Staithes, at just after 10.35pm yesterday following reports of a shop robbery.
One of the suspects was believed to be carrying a small axe, while another was believed to be in possession of a small silver gun.
The suspects fled the scene in what was believed to be in a black VW Golf.
No injuries were reported and nothing was believed to have been taken.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed its enquiries are continuing.
