Police have arrested six men on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and money laundering in Greater Manchester.
They remain in police custody for questioning.
This morning, Wednesday 28 June, officers executed nine warrants in Cheetham Hill and Higher Broughton, with a further warrant in Burnley, Lancashire.
The raids were part of an investigation into a series of 13 cash-in-transit robberies, predominantly in the Cheetham Hill and Broughton areas, and 23 crimes of money laundering.
A police spokesperson said the offenders brandished weapons whilst using threats and violence against cash-in-transit guards in order to steal cash boxes.
