There has been a spike in reported numbers of animals being mistreated in West Yorkshire, with Bradford district identified as prominent in the figures.
There have been 74 incidents in the last five days involving animals across the region.
One incident saw police officers attend an address in Bradford to assist the RSPCA with seizing a number of horses that a vet had certified were suffering.
The RSPCA are investigating the circumstances.
