A Stockport pensioner has been charged with murder.
Shortly before 9:40am on Sunday 8 July, police received a report that a woman had died at an address on Frances Avenue in Gatley.
Officers attended and found the body of a woman. Although formal identification is yet to take place, the body is believed to be that of 86-year-old Patricia Franks.
84-year-old Lawrence Franks has been charged with murder and remanded in custody.
