A 4-year-old girl has undergone a two hour operation following a scissor attack at a nursery in Bradford.
Ayesha Khan was making greeting cards at Westminster Primary School when it is believed a boy stabbed her in the hand. Her family fear that Ayesha may have lasting nerve and tendon damage.
Doctors removed the cast on Friday (31.03.2017), two weeks after the incident occurred, but have decided to keep her hand in a splint for a further three weeks to keep her finger straight. Her parents have complained that Ayesha hasn’t been able to eat properly or dress herself for nursery.
Her father, Farooq Khan, has said that the school told him that the boy who inflicted the wound has been taken out of the school and that they are questioning whether stainless steel scissors are suitable for children of their daughter’s age.
