A car park attendant who stole more than £6,000 from parking machines in a supermarket in Keighley has been jailed.
Peter Hurson was caught with more than 80 £1 coins stashed in his shoes.
Bradford Crown Court heard how the 48-year-old emptied £6,194 from machines in the Morrisons in which he worked from 30 January to 27 May last year. He would then exchange the cash for vouchers, using a Coinstar machine at a nearby Asda.
The court also heard that Hurson was previously sentenced to 300 hours of unpaid work in 2009 for attempting to steal two Royal Mail parcels when he was employed as a postman.
He was sentenced to six months in prison.
