Three arrests made after teenager stabbed in Droylsden brawl

Greater Manchester Police have made three arrests after a teenager was stabbed during a disturbance in Droylsden.

On Monday (25 June) evening, police were called to reports of people fighting on Old Farm Crescent.

Officers were sent to the scene but by the time they arrived the crowd had broken up.

They found a 16-year-old boy with stab wounds to his side. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a serious condition.

An 18-year-old man and two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Detective Constable Phil Scargill of GMP’s Tameside borough, said: “We know that a number of men and teenagers were involved in the fight yesterday evening, and we are working to establish how the young man came to be assaulted.

“Although we have three people in custody, we still need to hear from people who may have seen the disturbance last night or have information that could help our enquiries.”
