
Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation after three houses were damaged in Stockport and Burnage.
Shortly after 11.00pm on Sunday 10 June 2018, police were called to reports that a house was damaged on Arbor Drive in Burnage.
The offenders, armed with a suspected chainsaw and crowbars, smashed the doors and windows of the house.
The men then fled the scene in a black car which was possibly an Audi.
Around five minutes later, police were called to reports that shots had been fired at a house on Crossley Road in Burnage.
A group of men armed with a suspected firearm and sledgehammer smashed the front windows of the house before fleeing in a black car.
There is no evidence to suggest that shots were fired.
A further ten minutes later, police were called to reports that shots had been fired at a house on Broadfield Grove in North Reddish.
A group of men, armed with a suspected firearm, smashed the front windows of the house before fleeing in a black car.
On this occasion, investigating officers identified evidence to suggest that shots had been fired at the front door.
Armed officers were deployed and there have been no reported injuries.
Police are treating these incidents as linked and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Keeley, from GMP’s Stockport borough, said: “I appreciate that this chain of events will undoubtedly cause concern in our local communities but I can confirm that we believe all of these incidents are linked and we have a dedicated team of officers working tirelessly on the investigation.
“You will see increased patrols across these areas. These patrols are there for you and your safety so please approach officers with any concerns or queries you may have and they will try to assist any way they can.”
