Two people required hospital treatment following a house fire in Rochdale.
Emergency services were called to Kirklee Road in Castleton at just before 8.00am on Monday 29 October.
It is believed a man in his 50s was on fire and is currently in a critical condition. Another man, in his 20s, jumped from the house to escape the flames and has injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Greater Manchester Police added that earlier reports of a man being seen close to the scene with a knife are being treated as linked, however enquiries are ongoing and no knife has been recovered.
