Here's the reason why Aamir Khan's Dangal might not be released in Pakistan...
Aamir Khan‘s Dangal has released in India and it has taken the country by storm. While the movie has been released in 4300 screens in India, it has been released in 1000 screens in the overseas market too. However, it looks like the movie will not be screened in Pakistan. Rumours have been doing the round that the Pakistan Censor Board hasn’t cleared the film yet. However, the latest report in Mumbai Mirror suggests that Dangal might not be screened in Pakistan due to bureaucratic reasons.
Nadeem Mandviwala, owner of the Cineplex at Centaurus, suggests that the screening of the latest Bollywood films including Dangal will take time. As he explains to the tabloid, “It can take days, weeks and even months to start screening new movies. We’ve lifted the ban and now it is up to Indian distributors whether they will sell movies to Pakistan. Once they agree to sell their movies, we will have to get a no objection certificate (NOC) from the government. If the NOC is issued, the movies will have to be cleared by Pakistan Censor Board. After that, we’ll be in a position to say that new (Indian) movies can be screened in Pakistan.”
