India and Pakistan may not have a cordial relationship at the moment, but time and again art has proven to be beyond borders and 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 is just proving that.
Our very own Fawad Khan, who hasn't failed to impress the population at the other side of the border with his convincing acting and captivating good looks, has been nominated as the Best Supporting Actor. The superstar was nominated for his empowering role in the movie Kapoor & Sons.
In fact, it isn't just Fawad who made it to the list in the coveted Filmfare awards, but singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam and Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch were also nominated. Rahat was nominated in the Best Playback Singer (Male) category for his song Jag ghoomeya in the hit movie Sultan. He will be competing against Arijit Singh and Amit Mishra and Atif Aslam, who is nominated for his song in Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom, Tere sang yara. QB made it to the list under Best Playback Singer (Female) category for her powerful vocals for Kari Kari in the critically acclaimed movie Pink.
Although Atif and Rahat have made it to the list four times before, QB and Fawad will be marking their first nominations in the Filmfare Awards.
Filmfare shared the list on their website and couldn't help but include our talented stars because let's face it, with Pakistan's opulence of talent we can conquer every nook.
