After shattering many box office records with Srimanthudu, Mahesh Babu is currently shooting for his upcoming light-hearted rom-com film Maharshi in Hyderabad.

Bollywood Life reports that, to meet the deadline of the release date, the cast and crew of the movie are filming at a brisk pace. The producers have built a huge village set in Ramoji Film City, for which they spent Rs 8 crore. They had earlier planned to shoot at the real village but later realized that it would be a task for them to manage the crowd, who will come to watch the shooting and get the glimpse of the superstar.

So, in order to save that effort and time, the makers took this decision. Some sequences of the film have already been shot in New York. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film also stars Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in key roles. The first schedule of the film was shot in Dehradun, which was shown in the teaser.
