The man credited for the revival of Pakistani cinema is all set for a comeback, with yet another potential blockbuster, Verna, written and directed by the showman Shoaib Mansoor himself under his banner SHOMAN Productions.
The veteran writer, producer, director and the recipient of Pride of Performance has helmed blockbusters like Khuda Ke Liye and Bol, both critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies that not only brought back the long-lost culture of film viewing in Pakistan but put the Pakistani film industry on the global entertainment radar. His latest flick will feature Mahira Khan in the lead role.
Recently, Mahira took to Twitter to share the first look of her upcoming movie which also marks the debut of Coke Studio sensation, Haroon Shahid.
But that’s not it! While we do have to wait a while for the teaser trailer of the movie, we do have all the latest details regarding one of the songs from the movie!
Tentatively titled, Power Di Game, the song is sung by Islamabad based rapper Xploymer Dar, originally from a crew called Rap Engineers. The song is to have a strong message in it.
“I was called by Shoaib Mansoor himself,” Dar exclusively revealed to The Express Tribune. “We worked on the song together. I initially wrote the song and then Shoaib modified it.”
