Pari remake in Tamil to feature Anushka Sharma?

Anushka Sharma made her debut as a producer in Bollywood with Pari which was a horror-comedy starring herself and directed by Prosit Roy.

The film was a decent success and her first outing as a producer was a fruitful one. Bollywood Life reports that Pari will be remade in Tamil and a popular producer has bought the rights for it already. While more details are yet to be revealed, it is being speculated that Anushka Sharma might feature in the Tamil remake of Pari and will mark her debut down South. Reports reveal that the makers of the Tamil remake are all set to approach the actress for the film and soon more details will be revealed.

If these turn out to be true, Anushka Sharma will join the list of Bollywood actresses who will soon make their debut in South cinema. Alia Bhatt will be making her debut in Telugu with SS Rajamouli directorial RRR which stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The film is said to be a period drama and will have Alia paired opposite Ram Charan in the plot.

Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut will also make her debut in Tamil with a biopic on the life of former actress and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The biopic will be directed by AL Vijay and will also star many popular actors from various other industries.

Recently, Huma Qureshi made her debut in Tamil with Rajinikanth-starrer Kaala which was directed by Pa Ranjith. Huma was seen playing Rajinikanth's love interest in the plot and garnered great appreciation for her performance in the film.
