11 killed in Pakistan cable car accident

At least 11 people have been killed following a cable car accident in Pakistan.

A cable car fell into a ditch yesterday morning near Murree, which borders the Punjab region.

It is reported that three injured victims were transported to Islamabad for treatment.

Rescuers said the car fell to the ground from a height of 400 feet.

Allegedly locals set up the cable car service on a self-help basis and is the only available source of transportation between two hilly areas as there are no connecting roads.

An official confirmed that the bodies have been removed from the scene.
