14 people feared dead in Indian landslide

At least 14 people are feared dead in a landslide in India.

Landslides have been triggered by the huge volumes of rain which has fell in Arunachal Pradesh's Papum Pare district.

According to local offiicials the chances of finding any survivors are slim. They added that a rescue operation was underway immediately after the incident occurred yesterday, 11 July.

Officials said three dwellings in Laptap village were hit by the landslide at around 3.30pm.
