At least 19 people have been killed in Karachi as torrential rains hit the city.
Up to 41mm of rain was recorded which, along with strong winds and lightning strikes, led to havoc on the city’s electrical supply and caused several structures to collapse.
Most victims are believed to have died from electrocution.
In one incident, a 14-year-old boy was killed when a billboard came loose and fell on a group of people at a cattle market.
The mayor of Karachi has ordered the rain emergency centre to operate around the clock for the next two days to address issues caused by the weather.
The Pakistan Met Office has forecast cloudy weather for the region with further chances of rain and thunder.
