Two men were gunned down out side of a law court in Lahore.
A suspected murderer, Amjad Malik, and a police officer were shot at by an assailant who fled the scene of attack.
Malik was killed at the scene whilst the officer, Head Constable Asif Jamal, succumbed to his injuries at hospital.
Another person is believed to have been injured.
Police sources say two teams have been set up to investigate the attack and find the offender.
