22 people were killed and around 30 others injured in a stampede at a railway station in Mumbai.
The incident occurred at Elphinstone station during the rush hour this morning, 29 September, on a footbridge leading into the station.
The tragedy is believed to have been triggered by overcrowding and a heavy downpour of rain.
An inquiry is being opened into the incident.
