At least 50 people have been killed in storms that lashed northern India on Tuesday 29 May.
Lightning strikes and high wind speeds devastated villages leaving dozens more injured.
Bihar state was the worst affected, with 20 confirmed deaths due to lightning. Many of the dead are believed to have been sleeping indoors when their houses collapsed.
The storms came just weeks after dust storms killed more than 100 people across northern India.
