Baby boy killed in India monkey attack

A baby boy has been killed in an attack by a monkey in India.

The family say the mother was breastfeeding her 12-day-old son in the city of Agra, in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, when the animal entered their home and grabbed the child.

Despite locals giving chase to the monkey, the baby sustained injuries from which he later died in hospital.

Locals say monkey attacks in the area are growing more frequent. Two months ago, a toddler was attacked by the animals and is still recovering in hospital.
