Clashes between India and China on Himalayan border

Clashes have taken place between Indian and Chinese soldiers at a Himalayan border point.

Local sources claim stones were thrown in an incident near Pangong Lake, causing minor injuries to both sides.

Indian army officials have been quoted by the PTI news agency as having said their personnel formed a human chain to stop Chinese forces from entering their territory in the   Ladakh region.

Beijing maintains their troops were in Chinese territory.

The incident will add to the already tense relationship between the two nations, as they are also in a standoff in the Doklam area, which borders China, India and Bhutan.
