Eight people were killed in mass caste protests in India.
Tens of thousands of members of the Dalit community took to the streets across India, in protest against a Supreme Court order that they say weakens a law designed to protect lower caste communities.
The federal government has now asked the court to review its decision.
Six deaths came in the state of Madhya Pradesh, were protesters blocked railway tracks and set fire to vehicles.
