Engineer arrested for raping a 10-year-old girl

A 28-year-old electronic engineer from Bhandup in Mumbai was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.

Officials have reported that on Wednesday afternoon the victim was playing with a friend at the accused’s house when he told the victim’s friend to go home and then called the victim to the ground floor.

Police claim he sexually assaulted her and threatened her not to tell anyone about it. When the girl returned home she told her mother and reported the incident to the police.

The accused was arrested for rape charges and police have said investigations are still on-going.
