An Indian woman has set a new record for the fastest double ascent of Everest.
Anshu Jamsenpa, a 37-year-old mother-of-two, climbed Mount Everest twice in under a week in what is believed to be a new woman's record for the fastest double ascent.
She reached the summit on 16 and 21 May, beating the current Guinness record for a woman's double ascent of seven days.
It's the second time Anshu, who is from the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, has managed an Everest double ascent. Her previous feat was in 2011, but her ascents were 10 days apart.
Unfortunately, at least three climbers were killed on the mountain over the weekend of Anshu’s climbs.
Reports say an Australian, a Slovak and an American died. Rescuers have failed to locate a fourth climber, from India, who disappeared shortly after reaching the summit.
