The Adibhatla police of Hyderabad have arrested a political party leader after he allegedly stabbed a man who had been earlier arrested for sexually exploiting his daughter. The victim has been named as 32 year old G Rajesh.
Rajesh was stabbed to death by Shyam Sundar Reddy, a TRS leader from Saidabad. The incident took place at a bar on Monday night.
Rajesh had previously been arrested on charges of kidnapping and raping Shyam Sundar Reddy's 23 year old daughter, the late Anusha Reddy.
Anusha, had alleged that Rajesh had sexually exploited her at the Hanuman temple in LB Nagar in 2014. Rajesh was arrested in March 2015 but was out on bail a few days later, upset with this development, Anusha ended her life.
Police officials have stated, Reddy had been waiting to take revenge for his daughter's death for some time, on Monday night him and his associates repeatedly attacked Rajesh with knives, who died at the scene due to multiple stab wounds.
Shyam Sundar Reddy will remain in custody, while the investigation continues.
