Police in India have arrested a group of female protesters in Hyderabad.
The women had taken to the streets to voice their opposition against the detainment of political activist Varavara Rao.
Rao, along with four others, were arrested by police on Tuesday 28 August. Authorities claim the activists incited Dalits (formerly untouchables) at a large public rally on 31 December 2017, leading to violent clashes that left one person dead.
Critics say the raids were a "witch hunt" against those who have challenged the governing party in India, the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
