Five arrested in Faisalabad torture case

Police in Pakistan have launched an investigation after a man was allegedly kidnapped and subject to torture in Faisalabad.

Five men have been arrested in connection with the alleged incident, which local reports say was recorded and uploaded onto social media.

It is alleged the victim, identified as Kashan from Awami Colony, was kidnapped whilst on his way to visit a friend. His mother claims he was taken by a group of men over a monetary dispute, possibly a dishonoured cheque.

Police only came to know about the incident after footage was circulated on news channels.
